July 01, 2016 - New cylinder-arm machine PFAFF 3731
New cylinder-arm machine with counter folder for stitching shoe counter
The operation step “stitching not pre-shaped, thermoplastic counter” deemed to be one of the most difficult in the shoe production. With the new cylinder-arm machine 3731, PFAFF INDUSTRIAL has engineered a new workplace for this application, which was developed based on the requirements of global shoe manufacturers.
The new machine is equipped with a driven roller presser and a Racing puller which ensure perfect feeding properties. The puller is close to the needle which guarantees a better shaping of the counter (counter shaping during sewing). The needle plate above the free arm is curved, a large XL hook reduces the bobbin changes. The solid and reliable thread trimmer is able to trim thread sizes up to 30/3; synthetic. Sports shoes, military shoes and work shoes are the main application area of the new 3731. The machine ensures an easy handling also for untrained workers. The first machines have already been installed in Asia.
