Sewing zinc and lead
Nowadays roofs are presumed to have a useful life of 30 years. A customer drew our attention to a material bonding under a roof ridge that had until then always been welded. Thermal influences cause the material to work, resulting in problems with the weld seam.
The idea: a stitched seam would be able to react more flexibly here. KSL developed a machine fitted with a special needle transporting system which uses needle size 230! The needle pierces the metal without holes needing to be drilled beforehand.
